Trident is a national scheme which offers employers the opportunity to work with young people, between the ages of 14-19, to prepare for life beyond the classroom.
Carol King, Human Resources Manager says: “Our original intention was to help some local young people to build their levels of confidence and get a feel for life in the workplace but the scheme has actually enabled us to find and recruit talent to build for our own future.”
Steve Hulbert, one of Lakehouse’s success stories, joined the company on a work placement and within three months was offered a full time position. Steve has proven to be a huge asset, winning ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Constructing Excellence G4C Awards 2007.
