As a framework partner for East Thames Group, Lakehouse works with East Potential to provide local employment and training opportunities through award-winning ‘Construct Your Career’.
The students undertake a 16-week training course at the Building Crafts College, in Stratford (www.thebcc.ac.uk), resulting in an NVQ level 1 multi-skills qualification.
Lakehouse has employed five people from the programme – 2 Painter & Decorators, a Handyperson, an Electrician and a Resident Liaison Officer.
Lakehouse’s contribution has included presentations at construction awareness sessions, help with CVs and interview skills, and the provision of site tours and practical work experience placements.
