Face painting, bouncy castle, children's drawing competition and free raffle were all part of Newham Homes' celebrations on 27 September 2008 to mark the completion of a phase of internal home improvements in the Hutton/Brentwood area.
Dozens of residents, their friends and families, flocked to join in the fun and games, organised by Lakehouse as a 'thank you' to the local community for their help and co-operation throughout the project, enjoying a fantastic high-energy, fun-packed party.
The Residents' Committee was delighted to accept the offer from members of Lakehouse and its supply chain, including Dulux and Spicers, to redecorate the local Community Hall in Springfield Avenue. Even staff family members got involved, coming along to support their partners and bringing freshly-baked home made cakes to add to the refreshments already provided.
The event was a great success and was well attended by local families, the local resident organisation and representative from Lakehouse, Newham Homes and the local police force.
