In 2008 members of the Mayor of London's Green Procurement Code prevented 175,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions through the purchase of recycled products. This is equivalent to the yearly emissions produced by 29,000 households.
Signing up to the Green Procurement Code is helping Lakehouse to make smart green procurement decisions. It is also evidence of our commitment to making London a sustainable city and to achieving progressive environmental targets.
The code provides support for London based organisations committed to reducing their environmental impact through responsible purchasing. The programme is supported by £3 million from the London Development Agency and is delivered by London Remade.
Signing up to the Green Procurement Code will help Lakehouse to:
- reduce its environmental impact through green purchasing
- source green products
It will also support us through the provision of tools and advice on how to successfully implement green purchasing.
