Lakehouse's main areas of expertise are in the social housing and education sectors, providing the company with numerous opportunities to support local communities.
The Industrial Dwellings Society's (IDS) Fun Day on 26 July 2008 kicked off with a youth sports programme, followed by activities including face painting, street dancing, basketball and a football tournament. Lakehouse provided creative play opportunties for children of all ages; there was lots of interest and the children were encouraged to enter a drawing competition. Standards were so high that everyone was given a small prize for entering, and star prizes were awarded for exceptional drawings.
The celebrations were rounded off with the final of IDS's Talent Competition and the children entertained local community and special guests including Cllr. Angus Mulready-Jones; Ian Rathbone, the Speaker of Hackney and Paul Canonville, ex Chelsea striker.
