Mayor of Southend visits site of £3M new build project in Westcliff

On 22 April the Mayor of Southend, Cllr. Gwen Corrigan, dropped in to visit the site of the £3M building project at Westcliff High School for Girls. Lakehouse is responsible for the alterations being made to the existing school to form a link to the new block - as well as the construction of the three storey extension that will house the English and Psychology departments.

Gerry Green, Site Manager, was delighted to show the Mayor around, having met her previously at the ground breaking ceremony. She chatted excitedly to members of the Lakehouse team and was clearly pleased with the progress that has already been made.

The 58-week project is due to complete at the end of November and Lakehouse plans to sponsor the official opening shortly after that time.
