Healthy Living Event with Russet Homes

Members of Lakehouse's social housing team were out in force again on 22 July 2009 to show their support for Russet Homes' Healthy Living Event, in the beautiful grounds of their headquarters in Borough Green. The day presented the perfect opportunity for Lakehouse to give something back to local residents, their families and friends.

The team arranged a host of fun activities and events, manning the bouncy castle and providing everyone with fresh fruit and healthy juices free of charge from the busy Lakehouse marquee, which was soon turned into an impromptu picnic area by local families. Sarah Atkinson, one of Lakehouse's Resident Liaison Officers, volunteered her services as a face painter, much to the delight of numerous excited youngsters. Lenny Lakehouse, company mascot, made friends wherever he went, encouraging the children to find out more about health and safety. The children were invited to join us at our art station where they made good use of our Site Safety Booklet, coloured in pictures and played word games and quizzes.

The highlight of the day was the award of two fantastic hi-spec bicycles to the worthy winners of the Lakehouse football competition, which challenged those taking part to score as many goals as possible in just one minute. The team made sure that Lakehouse frisbees were available for  everyone who wanted one, ensuring smiling faces all round. The event was a massive success for Russet Homes and much enjoyed by the local community and the Lakehouse team, who stayed to make sure that everything was properly cleared away and the grounds left in good order at the end of the day.
