Community Involvement
Chief Executive Steve Rawlings is personally involved in the development and management of our community involvement strategy. We aim to make a difference to the communities we serve by maximising socio-economic gains from the procurement process as well as involving local communities in the construction process.
We have a team of Community Development Managers who develop project specific plans to reflect the needs of the local area. The team works closely with residents, schools, community groups, and the general public to ensure that the concerns and opinions of everyone are heard.
We actively support community programmes including training and development initiatives, education projects and local and national charities. Our staff regularly give up their time for fundraising activities, recently raising over £2,000 for Community Links, a local charity which helps disadvantaged and vulnerable children in the community.
We have won numerous awards for our work in the community.
Winner of 'Diversity Champion of the Year' at Building Awards 2011, and winner of 'Contractor of the Year' at Building Awards 2010.
