The Mayor's Responsible Procurement Awards 2010 - multi award winner

Lakehouse beat off stiff competition to win three titles at the 2010 Mayor's Responsible Procurement Awards - outstanding contribution of the year, community benefits, and equal life chances for all. Other shortlisted companies included Carillion, Skanska, Amey, Mace, and Morgan Sindell. The awards ceremony was held on 6 December at London's Living Room, City Hall.

Lakehouse was commended for its approach to tackling homelessness, worklessness and for increasing diversity in the construction industry.

Construction Director Dean Ball said "To be recognised above some of the biggest companies in the industry is a real boost for the efforts our staff make to give something back to the communities we work within."

Richard Barnes, Deputy Mayor of London and sponsor of the Responsible Procurement Programme, said "In these challenging times we must reward those who excel in their field. The RP Programme is a great advert for how we can work efficiently and effectively to deliver front line services whilst ensuring that Londoners receive long term benefits."
