North and West London Business Awards 2008 - Community Involvement, and Training and Development

Lakehouse walked away with two prestigious awards at the North & West London Business Awards, held at north London's top venue, the Emirates Stadium, on 5 December, winning awards for 'Community Involvement' and 'Training and Development'. Lakehouse was also highly commended for 'Business of the Year' and commended for 'Diversity in the Community'.

Steve Rawlings, Chief Executive, commenting on the wins, said "We are delighted that the work we are carrying out has been recognised. We are currently carrying out over £200M of repairs to people's homes in Camden, for example, and community involvement and training initiatives are intrinsic to the success of this project."

Former Government minister and guest of honour, Lord Charles Falconer, was joined by host Paul Ross, for the inaugural awards, launched in 2008 to create pride within the small and medium sized business sectors and provide a medium for the furtherance of skills, experience and business knowledge.

These awards come within a few weeks of Lakehouse's recent success at the Thames Gateway Business Awards 2008, where Lakehouse won the coveted award for 'Diversity in Business'.
