Lakehouse had an exceptionally successful evening at the recent Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards ceremony held at a packed Grosvenor House Hotel on 22 September.
More than 800 people who attended the prestigious awards ceremony, hosted by Newsnight's Emily Maitlis, saw Lakehouse walk away with two coveted awards: 'SME Contractor of the Year Award' and the 'Training Award', beating off fierce competition from within the industry.
In the SME Contractor of the Year category, judges said that Lakehouse had set clear goals and set out initiatives in order to deliver them whilst in the Training category they said that all five finalists were superb in terms of training and their commitment to it but it was Lakehouse that stood out from the rest.
The awards are designed to recognise outstanding year-round business performance, rather than individual projects. Winners were announced at the Awards.
"Winning two CJ Awards in one night was an incredible achievement", said Gary Bruce, Communities and Regeneration Director, "it's great to see the hard work of our staff recognised in this way."
Shelagh Grant, Chief Executive of The Housing Forum, congratulated the company on its acheivement adding that it was "a fitting reward for the hard work and diligent strategy of your team in accessing best practice and turning it to the advantage of your company, clients and customers."
