Lakehouse has successfully made its way into the Good Employer Guide following its first application, securing a place in the top five contractors.
The Good Employer Guide lists the top building companies in the industry and highlights those companies that are committed to the standards of being a Good Employer within the sector. The guide provides the opportunity for employees to rate their company and in doing so, recognises areas of strength and areas for development.
The competition was fierce, with 450 applications submitted by other building companies and over 15,000 surveys circulated. Whilst women are still under-represented, even among the industry's best employers, women make up 18% of Lakehouse's workforce - more than the national average.
Our successful application was supported by clients including Richmond Housing Partnership; Galliard Primary School, London Borough of Enfield and Ellen Wilkinson Primary School, London Borough of Newham.
