Innovative new training is improving sustainability on site of the new Equestrian Centre

11 Jun 2012

Lakehouse is participating in new, innovative training on waste management and minimisation as part of a construction project for the Royal Borough of Greenwich, where we are creating a new Equestrian Centre.

Facilities will include a teaching centre, therapy centre and new stables as well as an indoor and outdoor arena. There will also be some refurbishment works to the existing building to create changing facilities, canteen offices and two apartments.

Training is being delivered by Greenfile Developments, an award winning consultancy business that specialises in offering solutions in operational effectiveness through productivity, sustainability and information systems. The company has been involved in a number of high profile projects, including the London Olympic Village.

The training programme aims to provide participants with the tools and techniques to identify environmental issues occurring on site, and innovative solutions to enable us to make a positive difference. It is made available to all interested parties on site - Lakehouse staff and its subcontractors. The training scheme is being piloted at the Equestrian Centre site and we hope to make it available to other staff in the near future.
