Lasting impression at Rockcliffe Manor School
25 Jul 2011
Staff, children and their parents gathered on 4 July to mark the grand opening of the new foundation building at Rockcliffe Manor School, Greenwich. The fantastic £800k facilities were created by Lakehouse, whose representatives joined in the fun, taking guided tours of the brightly coloured interior, which were eagerly provided by the children themselves. Lakehouse provided sponsorship for the event, and arranged for a professional photographer to capture the day so that the school could enjoy lasting memories of their special opening.
The official opening of the building, and cutting of a ribbon, was undertaken by the Mayor of Greenwich Jim Gillman, followed by a medley of songs performed with much enthusiasm by the nursery children and some classes from the primary school.
Adults were then invited to the staff room for tea and homemade cakes, where everyone was keen to thank Lakehouse and express their praise for the team's close working relationship with staff and pupils. Site Manager Shane Lawson has made a long lasting impression for all the right reasons, and has been provided with a 'Super Bloke' mug, as a personal thank you from the school.
