Lakehouse Acquires K and T Heating Services

Lakehouse has today announced that it has acquired K&T Heating Services, which provides gas maintenance and compliance services to the local government and social housing sectors in London and the south east of England. K&T was established in 1988 and has grown consistently since that time, and today employs over 140 full time staff.The exciting development comes at a time when many businesses are struggling to stay afloat. This first acquisition will see Lakehouse widen its service offering to existing and potential new clients, through the provision of in-house gas compliance and maintenance services.

Lakehouse in Conversation on Work Experience and Employability

Lakehouse CEO Steve Rawlings and trainee surveyor Steve Hulbert attended the vocational skills equivalent of the Olympic Games – WorldSkills London 2011 – to participate in ‘The Big Conversation’. This event, run by Business in the Community, is part of the Work Inspiration campaign and gives CEOs and young people the chance to talk about employability skills, work experience, apprenticeships and routes to employment.

Big money raised for Thames Reach

On 23 September, Lakehouse presented a cheque for £1,500 to Thames Reach. The money was raised through donations from the company and its employees, in support of Lakehouse volunteers who undertook the Olympic Team Relay at the London Triathlon in July.

Lakehouse helps Poplar Harca reach the finish line

It was an Indian summer for Londoners on 2 October, and perfect weather for a charity Fun Run/Walk in Victoria Park. Lakehouse sponsored the event with a £400 donation, which paid for t-shirts for the Poplar HARCA team and entry fees for some of the younger residents. Lakehouse raised another £200 in donations.
