Lakehouse a framework partner for LDA's pan London homes retrofit programme

Lakehouse has been confirmed a framework partner for the London Development Agency's RE:NEW (formerly known as the Homes Energy Efficiency Programme - HEEP), set up in order to meet London's domestic carbon reduction targets and reduce fuel poverty.

Open day at homeless hostel, Arlington, a huge success

More than 150 people burst through the doors to take part in Arlington's open day on 21st September. The newly refurbished hostel provides 3000m square of social enterprise and training space, together with 35 flats for intermediate rent and 95 high quality units for homeless people.

220 tonne crane required to remove largest roof currently constructed in the UK

A 220 tonne crane headed to Stamshaw Junior School on Saturday 11 September to remove the largest temporary roof currently constructed in the UK. The 50ft roof was constructed by Lakehouse's south west regional office, after thieves stole lead from the original roof, causing it to leak so badly that staff resorted to putting down buckets every time it rained.
