Greenwich Council awards Lakehouse 4-year new build social housing framework

26 Jan 2010

Greenwich Council has selected Lakehouse to be the lead contractor for a framework which will comprise the design and construction of new local authority social housing. The new homes will consist mainly of three, four and five bed family homes on various infill sites throughout Greenwich, with 2 to 15 units on each site.

It is expected that all homes built under this scheme will achieve a minimum of Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.

The estimated value of construction projects going through the framework is between £5 and £10million per annum. At present around 8 sites have been identified for development by March 2011 and Lakehouse will be constructing all of these Wave One sites.

The framework will run for four years, commencing this month.
