Greenwich Council awards Lakehouse 4-year new build social housing framework
Greenwich Council has selected Lakehouse to be the lead contractor for a framework which will comprise the design and construction of new local authority social housing. The new homes will consist mainly of three, four and five bed family homes on various infill sites throughout Greenwich, with 2 to 15 units on each site.
Camden kids celebrate creation of new playground in Clerkenwell
The Mayor of Camden, Councillor Omar Faruque Ansari, was on hand on 21 January to officially open a much needed and long awaited new playground at Christopher Hatton Primary School.
Lowther Children's Centre shortlisted for Civic Trust Award
A new children's centre at Lowther Primary School, Richmond upon Thames, is one of eleven prestigious projects to be shortlisted for the annual Civic Trust Awards, which will take place on 12th March at St. George's Hall in Liverpool.
£1.8million project commences at Kentish Town School, Camden
This month marks the start of a £1.8million project to extend and alter Kentish Town School, Camden, to accommodate the integration of 14 pupils diagnosed with autisitic spectrum disorders (ASD). The project arose as a result of Camden Council's strategy to include children with ASD within the mainstream school setting and to address the number of pupil places of children with ASD.
Lakehouse awarded £928K new build Belair Sports Pavilion, Dulwich
Lakehouse has received confirmation from the London Borough of Southwark of the award of a £928K project to construct a new sports pavilion at Belair Park, west Dulwich. Work on the pavilion, which will include a new community room and sports changing rooms, is expected to start in February. The 26 week contract will also include conversion of an existing small building for use as public toilets.
Icy conditions bring out the community spirit in Camden
On Friday 8th January community spirit was the order of the day in Camden. Lakehouse and apprentices from the King's Cross Construction Centre took up shovels and brooms to help clear the snow and ice from some of the more vulnerable side roads and pavements in the borough.
