Lakehouse awarded London Excellence Award for corporate social responsibility

Lakehouse's Construction Director, Dean Ball, and Sales Director, Paul King, were delighted to accept an award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the London Excellence Awards 2009, held on 13 July at Lords Cricket Ground, St. John's Wood. The awards pay tribute to companies that seek nothing less than excellence in their strategic and operational activities.

Lakehouse was commended by the judges for excellent and effective communication methods, the commitment of staff throughout the company and the partnership approach used with suppliers and third parties that has helped ensure buy in and increase the effectiveness of its CSR activities.

The award categories are based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model which is used by thousands of companies as a framework for sustained performance improvement. In 2008 Lakehouse was awarded a London Excellence Award for People Involvement and Development and was a finalist in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.

Lakehouse has made siginificant developments in CSR since last year; the company is involved in a huge range of community initiatives. To be recognised for excellence in the CSR category at the 2009 London Excellence Awards is a just reward for the efforts of all its staff.
