Work on £2.1M new fire station is now underway at Harold Hill

26 May 2009

This month marks the start of a £2.1M project to build a new fire station in Harold Hill. The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) has appointed Lakehouse to undertake the work which will transform three existing light industrial units into a 21st century fire station.

The LFEPA, which runs the London Fire Brigade, previously purchased three units at the Falcon Business Centre on the Harold Hill Industrial Estate in Romford. Val Shawcross, Chair of the LFEPA has described the site as "an excellent location from an operational perspective and will help to further improve response times and the level of fire cover in London and the local area."
