Lakehouse staff help raise £2,000 for Community Links

10 Dec 2009

Lakehouse staff have helped raise £2,000 for a small charity  known as Community Links, to help improve Christmas for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the local community.

Earlier this month, the team joined representatives from registered charity Discover, to battle against 15 other teams in a gruelling 10 round quiz.

The event was a great success and Lakehouse is now urging staff to get behind Community Links by donating gifts for disadvantaged children in east London, one of the most deprived urban areas in the UK, where 55% of children live in poverty. The appeal aims to provide a bag of gifts for each child to open on Christmas morning.

Staff have been bringing in gifts and leaving them under the Christmas tree at Lakehouse's headquarters in Romford.
