Lakehouse's support of the community is well known, from its sponsorship of Essex Wildlife Trust's 'Schools Awareness Programme' which funds local school visits to the Langdon Centre for pond dipping and forest discovery to its commitment to training and employment initiatives such as East Thames's 'Construct Your Career' and its work with 'UK Career Academies', a project which supports 16-18 year olds into employment with business advice and work experience placements.

The appointment of Lakehouse's own Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Jonathan Brookes, will provide a much needed dedicated resource in this growth area. Jon is a welcome addition to the team and brings a wealth of experience from his previous associations with Connexions, ROK, the Learning Skills Council and West Ham and Plaistow's New Deal for Communities.
