History
Lakehouse was founded in 1988 by Chief Executive Steve Rawlings, and operated from a house in Wanstead, East London, during those early days. Since that time our headquarters have relocated to Cranbrook Road, Ilford, and eventually to our current address in Romford, Essex, which is now home to around 70 staff.
Regional offices in Andover, Burgess Hill, Camden, Charlton, Hackney, Kent and Sutton, enable us to to provide construction and maintenance services throughout London and the south east of England.
Lakehouse has experienced significant growth, particularly in the past five years, partly as a result of substantial framework awards. Additionally, in October 2011 we acquired K&T Heating Services, which has enabled us to extend our offering to include gas maintenance and compliance services. In November 2012 we acquired Allied Protection, a leading provider of fire detection and alarm systems. We directly employ over 540 staff, and turnover for our last financial year (2011/12) is £154 million, our largest to date.
