At the 11th annual Thames Gateway Business Awards on Friday 21 November Lakehouse was recognised for showing a positive approach in the equality, inclusion, respect and development of under-represented groups. At the high profile gala award ceremony celebrity chef and Saturday Kitchen presenter, James Martin, presented Steve Rawlings, Chief Executive, with the coveted 'Diversity in Business Award'.
Steve, delighted to have won the award, said "I am thrilled that Lakehouse has been recognised in this way; we have worked hard to develop a clear organisational ethos that reflects diversity and inclusion of both staff and service users. We work closely with the community not only to ensure fair service and contract delivery for everyone but to provide education, learning and career opportunities wherever possible."
Nearly 600 guests attended the occasion held at the ExCel Platinum Suite; lending their support with the Grand Charity Prize Draw to raise funds for London's disadvantaged children through the charity, Help A London Child.
