Ask anyone who has entered the London Excellence Awards, and they will tell you that the awards are a rigorous test of best practice and performance. That's the reason why everyone at Lakehouse is so excited to receive a London Excellence Award for 'Making Partnerships Work'. The assessment process included a comprehensive written submission, which is scored against specific criteria and exacting guidelines, followed by a presentation and interview with a panel of judges. Only the best are recognised as finalists, a few exceptional companies are rewarded with a London Excellence Award. Lakehouse is one of them.
The prestigious awards scheme celebrates some of the country's outstanding companies and public sector organisations. At a celebratory summer ball held at Lord's Cricket Ground on 18 July, Communities and Regeneration Director Gary Bruce accepted the award, saying "We're very proud to have been recognised for 'making partnerships work'. With more than half of our business in social housing, we embrace collaborative working, day in and day out. The real impact of this award will be the way in which we use the feedback from the assessors to continue to drive learning and improvement, and share best practice throughout our own business, raising our own game while encouraging our partners to do the same."
Lakehouse Director Paul King has worked for the company since its formation, and is delighted with the result: "We've worked in the construction industry for 23 years, and are proud of the long lasting relationships and partnerships that we have developed, from our clients to our supply chain, and everyone in between. This is not just a success for Lakehouse; it's a success for us all."
