Lakehouse awarded Demonstration Status by Constructing Excellence

Lakehouse has been awarded Demonstration Status by Constructing Excellence for its 'Community, Employment and Training Initiative'.

Demonstration Projects are live construction projects that are innovating or applying an element of best practice that it is hoped will lead to a step-change in performance for participating organisations. Through this initiative Lakehouse has made a significant contribution to raising the awareness of construction skills and investing in local communities.

The project has successfully engaged with key programmes such as Train to Gain, East Thames Group's 'Construct Your Career' and local labour recruitment schemes to ensure new entrants have sustainable careers in construction. Lakehouse also works with schools, colleges and charities to help raise awareness of careers in the industry and has extended training to its supply chain.

The benefits include alleviation of skills shortages in the industry, personal development of staff, improved service delivery, greater added value for clients, more meaningful relationships with clients and the community, improved client and customer satisfaction, increased staff morale and staff retention, and greater buy in from supply chain partners.
