Lakehouse cleaned up at the recent annual Havering Business Awards 2009. A finalist in two categories - Business and Education Partnership, and Staff Training and Development, the company was awarded the Business and Education Partnership Award. Better still, at the end of the evening, the top prize was announced and Lakehouse was awarded the coveted Havering Business of the Year Award, a surprise award by the judges.
Lakehouse jointly celebrated with members of the London Fire Brigade who were awarded the Sustainable Design and Construction Award for a £2.1M project that Lakehouse is undertaking at Harold Hill Fire Station, also in Havering.
The glitzy event was held on 25 September at the CEME Conference Centre in Rainham. Hosted by TV comedienne Jo Brand the gala night saw more than 35 local companies jostling for recognition. The Awards, now in their fifth year, have been successful in rewarding excellence and innovation and recognising best practice within the Havering business community.
